Methi Murgh

Ingredients:-

  • 1 —— Medium-size chicken

For the marinade:

  • 1 tsp each —— Ginger and garlic pastes
  • 2 tsp —— Yogurt
  • 1 tsp —— Chili powder
  • Half tsp —— cumin powder
  • Salt —— to taste
 

For the Masala:

  • 2 —— cardamoms
  • 1 —— Cinnamon stick
  • 3 —— Green chilies, chopped
  • Half tsp —— Black cumin seeds
  • 2 cups —— Chopped methi leaves
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 —— Onions, finely chopped
  • 2 —— Tomatoes, finely chopped

For Garnish:

  • Ginger Juliennes

Method:-

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
  2. Grill in a preheated oven till golden brown.

For the masala:

  1. Roast cardamom, cinnamon, black cumin seeds & onion till golden brown.
  2. Add methi and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes and chicken & cook till the aroma of the methi leaves emanates.
  4. Drizzle lemon juice, garnish with ginger juliennes & serve.
